It appears that Borders and Amazon have discontinued their partnership, as The New Borders.com has launched as an online store.
In related news, BookSense has morphed into IndieBound, an online community supporting independent bookstores.
One or the other of them—prob’ly Borders—notified me of that recently. It’s likely good for us book/music/film buyers, no? I mean, it’ll force a little competitive pricing maybe.
I wasn’t even aware they were partners in the first place.
Not exactly partners, but they shared the same online “portal,†Amazon.com. Even tho’ you punched in Borders.com, it brought you to Amazon.com. And now there really is a separate Borders.com.
