sad. i know every generation worries for the future, and mine is no different. also, the local ‘air america’ radio station (progressive talk) just apparently had to fire almost everyone…..

hmmm– when i heard ‘on the block’ i heard ‘for sale,’ as in auction block, but now i see it could just as easily mean ‘on the block’ as in (sort of) ‘just round the corner,’ or ‘joining us.’
judging by your response i’ll guess it’s the second.

Re-reading your original comment, why did that station (or program) have to fire everyone? It’s really not so difficult to get private or public funding…
