
The New Jersey Repertory Company has a new musical called Bookends, about the bookish friendship and partnership of rare book dealers Leona Rostenberg (1908-2005) and Madeleine B. Stern (1912-present). They co-wrote two books (that I know of): Old Books, Rare Friends and Bookends. I don’t anticipate having an opportunity to see the musical, but I do hope the documentary Abbey Lustgarten was working on comes to fruition.
