literary laundry

New literary twist added to laundry cycle:
Instead of burying their head in a book or heading to the nearest coffee shop to beat the boredom of laundry, New York writer Emily Rubin has organised a series of readings called “Dirty Laundry: Loads of Prose,” at laundromats in New York.
I think it’s brilliant. What could be better than getting your laundry done and getting a dose of culture at the same time? I think the future of readings is taking them to the people rather than keeping them hidden away in dark coffee shops.
